Our History
In October of 1992, Joe McEvoy and two partners came together to form Kauai Lumber to provide the island communities with materials and supplies to help rebuild after Hurricane Iniki. Later Joe bought out the two partners, and Kauai Lumber has remained a family-owned and family-operated business to this day.
Philosophy in Action
Kauai Lumber company prides itself on being the company with heart. They are heavily involved in the community, working with several local charities. They also worked with Habitat for Humanity, providing the funds to build an entire new house.
Your visit
When you visit Kauai Lumber, you won't have to spend time looking around for an employee; they're right there when you need them. In fact, Shadow, a black lab who has been on the job since 2003, is happy to work as the official greeter, 7:30 - 4:30 every day.
